Why use Day Care?
Fun....socialization....and more fun! Dogs needs friends, socialization and physical activity as much or more than their humans do. Day care is also great if you have a very busy day or want to give your dog some fun, exercise or socialization.
What is so great about Day Care?
Dogs get a great deal of physical exercise at Day
Care. Even more important, their behavior often improves with intense
dog-dog socialization. If you sometimes don't have the time to exercise,
much less socialize your dog, Day Care at 101 DalmaChiens eliminates
the problem of an isolated, bored and under-exercised dog. Many of our
clients say that their dogs are happy and tired when they are picked up.
They don't even want to go for a walk at night!
Can I afford Day Care?
Yes, of course. Day Care can really fit into any budget. You can bring your dog every day or less frequently. Many of our clients (and their dogs) set weekly routines. And others call to reserve their space as soon as they know they are facing a busy day.
What is the difference between boarding and Day Care?
The only difference is that boarders spend one or more nights and days. All guests enjoy the very same privileges and group companionship and activities.
Where are the dogs kept? What do they do?
The dogs are almost constantly kept together in a
large, secure area. We provide entertainment, activities and non-food toys
but usually the dogs prefer to play and wrestle with each other. These
activities are always supervised. Guests often participate in an adventure
hike (weather permitting). Dogs are not kenneled because the point of day
care is to improve the quality of the dog's life through vigorous exercise,
stimulation and socialization.
Do all dogs get along?
We are very proud to say that at 101 DalmaChiens we have never experienced a dog fight. That is because the staff of 101 DalmaChiens are experienced in dog behavior and we take the time to gradually acclimate each new dog to this unusual environment.
Why does my dog need a Bordatella vaccination?
Bordatella is another name for "kennel
cough", which is a respiratory infection similar to flu in humans.
While not serious in nature, it is extremely contagious. The Bordatella
vaccine greatly reduces the probability that your dog will contract the
virus. Vaccination helps to ensure an optimally healthy environment.
